I've wanted to say something about this for a long long time. It has almost exploded out of me a few times... but, I wanted to wait for the finished product.
And its finally here.
A project in the works since late July, my article was finally published in the Fall 2008 issue of my university's major publication, Harding Magazine.
The cover of Harding Magazine for Fall 2008.
It may not be that big of a thing, but it kinda feels weird to have my photographs and my story hit 20,000+ mailboxes in the next few days.
I find it interesting how intense people are about their passions.
In the case of sports, different players all have different ways of "getting their head in the game."
The locker room at half-time is an intense place, but some players take a moment to refocus. In the case of #52 here, he completely zones into his music, not caring at all that his teammates are having a lively conversation a few meters away.
Well, in all this uber mess (oh, I made a funny) I've neglected my usual duties posting blogs. Of course, the real world continues as it always has...
I've been quite busy. We're now into our second publication deadline for the year and that's good. Only a dozen or so left now...
And also in that time I've added new equipment, changed some, learned quite a bit, and had mighty awesome opportunities happen my way.
These are just a handful of selects from the past few weeks of work that may have had blogs dedicated to them... but... alas...
So, lets see...
...oh, and this posting will be riddled with some pretty technical stuff. So, if you're not interested, at least look at the pictures. The technical stuff is just "talking shop" for those who may be curious how it was done.
